    Hey everyone,

First post, been reading through the forum a ton the past few years, helped me solve a lot of problems.

I've currently got a '98 Daytona Pace Car edition GTP, and it's got a problem that is just killing me. I am getting about a 2k RPMs idle, and about 11mpg local, 14mpg absolutely grannying highway. I'm getting sluggish gas response, and my super charger only will ever hit half boost, even completely open throttle. I should also note if I open the throttle, I get literally about a mile per gallon. Under the hood, I found my MAF fuse is blown. Any time I try to replace it, it blows instantly at start, but ONE time I got it to start without blowing the fuse and it ran like absolute garbage. Fluctuating RPMs, about 300-1000, constantly trying to stall unless I gave it gas. Revved it up to about 3k RPMs and the fuse blew and it went back to ~2k RPMs.

To preface this a little, the problem started when I noticed I was getting sluggish gas response, and RPM fluctuation. I ripped apart the throttle body and cleaned it out. It was carbon coated beyond belief. After that is when the problem became so noticeable I don't have a code reader and have been working 60 hour weeks so time has been hard to come by to try to get a code reader or anything like that.

Does a bad MAF sensor seem like a likely culprit? Just don't want to get a new one and find myself it wasn't the problem to begin with.
