Recently had a motor swap done this weekend due to bad bearing. Drove it home and everything seemed ok. Wanted to cut out on the highway but never died. Got home and the problems started. Car idles at 2000RPM, slams into gear. I can drive it down the street but it wont shift out of 1st gear. Trans was never an issue, so I don't think anything is wrong with it. Aeroforce will also shut down randomly now, auto lights will flicker. Checked battery cables and all is well.
Mods: L67 w/S1x cam, Gen3 w/3.4, N* with a MAf that needs replacing but wasn't an issue on my other motor.
No misfires are showing even though it isn't really idling smoothly, sounds like a damn helicopter
TPS looks to be functioning properly from what Aeroforce reads
I unplugged IAC and idle dropped but then slowly crept back up
Also Triple checked all plug wires... Need some suggestions on what I should be checking. I'm confused as to why it won't go out of 1st. If I can solve that I can at least drive it to work where the rest of my tools are, or to Bill's. Don't really want to use another tow. Thanks in advance for any input!!

Check all your wiring conenctions. The trans. and MAF connector for sure. Maybe a wire is loose/broken causing it to stay in limp mode. You're probably starting out in 2nd gear and staying there. Are all the grounds that bolt to the transmisson stud clean and tight?

Also sounds like it could be a giant vac. leak.

Grounds at trans are good. Power is good at starter.

Erich, did you reziptie the map sensor connector. The tab was broken and it had been ziptied previously. You mentioned it's not showing any change or vacuum etc.

I did not zip tie the MAP sensor but I just went to pull it off and it took some effort so it was not loose....While I was under the hood I could smell fuel from the drivers side of motor around the EGR but there was no sign of any leakage....Not throwing any engine codes at the moment but I did have the battery unhooked lastnight to clean the connections

Yeah we will probably have to put HPT on it and see what's up....Cause I'm striking out. I'm around whenever, can't go anywhere without the car =p
