Im getting very close to maxing out my maf so i figured i should swap to a n* and lq4. Question is the tb and maf i could get for cheap but im unsure if i should buy that seperate or just get the kit because im assuming ill have to buy the adaptor and cable brackets anyways. And im not sure if its possible wiring wise to adapt it without the adaptors in the kit.

If you had say 2-3 inches of wiring and the two connectors you could easily hard wire them in w/o adapters. You'd want a coupler to hold them together with a couple clamps. The bracket.. I've modded them. It's not too bad overall. A few minutes and it's done.

I say just buy the kit. I have the ZZP Nstar kit on mine with a GenV and everything bolted right into place and fit perfect and their kit retains cruise control. Would take you 20 min to do.

FWIW I always retain cruise using the stock N* cable bracket.

Since you are tuning yourself, you might want to consider just getting an AFC 1.2 and scaling down the MAF signal. A lot easier (and cheaper) than swapping the throttle body.
