Im leaking antifreeze from what looks like some type of plug just under the thermostat screw. Looks like some wires are going into a little plug. Tried to get some pictures uploaded but for some reason its not working. It looks like an easy fix... Anyone know anything about this?

Does these things get plugged up from time to time like the oil sensor. Had to replace that last year. Is it a pretty simple to fix? Basically unscrew old one, put new one in?

ive yet to see one leak yet, go bad yes.

but just like the oil pressure sensor, it could leak. change brands this time. i went through 3 oil sensors, pep boys and autozone brands, both failed, i now have a brass plug in the hole due to it leaking all the time.

your looks like it leaking from the threads, and the plug, unless its spraying all over.

Yes unscrew the old one and put in the new one. Use some Teflon paste from the parts store on the treads of the new one for sealant. It's kind of a pain to get with the stock crossover pipe on there, be careful not to break the plastic connector cover.

Oh and you have to drain your coolant first.
