I torqued them to the recommended torque specs when I had the engine on the stand. I'm using the felpro intake manifold gaskets also.

Oh no, this sounds allll to familiar! When you torqued the Cam, did you re-use the same bolt? If so, did you clean/thread lock it good?

I hate to say, I had this EXACT same sound then no start, came to find out the cam bolt backed it self out and now I'm on motor #2

Take off the front cover and inspect your cam bolt and keyway, if you see any damage there, I feel your pain man lol.

No I used a brand new cam bolt from zzp.

I torqued the cam bolt on tight in an engine stand so there's no way it could have backed out and un screwed itself.

    ^^^^ So very correct.
The bolt I think is 75lbs plus 90*. You know why it is plus 90* because most engine builders don't have torque wrenches that go to that high.

Yeah not even close to enough for the cam bolt

I'll be that guy. You are going to rip down the engine to find out whats wrong.

Still trying to figure that out myself, my cam bolt loosened and all my intake valves smashed the pistons.

So I just self F it and went and bought a head gasket from auto zone and took the front head off to inspect. Check the entire head and everything seemed fine and the pistons also. I put the head back on and torques and soaked the lifters and added oil in the valleys this time.

When I went to tighten down the rockers...it seemed as though this time the springs actually compressed lower this time than before and not all are depressed at the same time

I need new lin gaskets and ive been busy with work so ill finish tommorow or Saturday.

Also the rockers before had play which I think was causing the tapping but this time NONE has play.

Update us with a new vid then.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
