I have an 04 GTP, and I wpdnt dream of a 3.6 without headers, let alone a 3.5! Get some headers and save that puppy from suicide!

From what I have heard, the advice from zzp isn't the best, neither are their pcms.
my guess is boost is so high due to insufficient flow?
Working on figuring out this Torque app. Just did a quick log on trip to post office. I have it set to log and upload KR, but it does not seem to have done so...? I have 7 sensors set to log: KR, Ambient Air, RPM, Intake Man Pressure, Timing Advance, LT FT Bank1, Boost/Vacuum. The uploaded log/graph shows all of those EXCEPT KR...?? Timing does drop down to 14 deg at max boost, for whatever that's worth. I did only a quick, first gear run (only 1/2 mile to post office and LOTS of LEOs live in this area..)... and did register 14.5lbs... lol. Any suggestions on getting the correct KR settings to upload?

Have decided to suspend testing until getting a larger pulley.... a quick, first-gear jaunt registered 6 deg.KR at only 10 lbs of boost, so I'm quite sure a higher gear run with 15 lbs would yield a crap-ton more KR. So, in the interest of engine safety, I won't be doing any more pulls until a get the 3.6".

No way I can go back stock. These cars are absolute pigs without a pulley. If KR is still a big problem after the 3.6 pulley change, I'll consider a log or headers and/or have a more personalized tune done (considering the tune anyway, but no need until the hardware is changed). If I can't maintain something close to my current performance for less than ~$500 or so in additional changes, I'd just as soon put it all back stock, sell it, and get something that has this much or more power and performance AND gets better mileage.
EDIT: OR, I'll just let 'er roll 'til she blows! :-)
Sounds like your asking a lot out of a Grand Prix. Just saying. 6* of knock on a 3.5 is way too much your asking to chip a piston and you'll realIy hate the money you'll be spending then. I would throw the stock pulley back on until then and get better tune. Headers would also help. I know your wanting to do everything on the cheap but you got pick two fast..reliable..cheap. Zzp is a business out to make money what they say is not always true.
And I say that due in no small part to not knowing how much timing my current tune is TRYING to put in. If it's trying to put in more than it should be to start with, then that would lead to more KR. I've seen that one of the ZZP PCM competitors is offering a discount for trading in a ZZP PCM on one of their PCMs... so, I may take them up on that at the same time I change the pulley to the 3.6 so I can start "fresh" tune-wise.

Good idea.. I hear so many complaints when it comes to Zzp tunes I avoided them and went the Overkil route instead. No complaints here besides it takes some time to get it.
Folks at ZZP are in agreement regarding boost being way too high, as well as KR being unacceptable. Of course, the two issues are probably related. Offering some suggestions. Going to check a couple of things and regroup.
Hmm well normally we here the whole boost is to low type of situation. To high...I have no idea where to begin lol. Any chance you still have your stock PCM?
Just drop down to a 2.5 Pulley and call it a day. see how high you can get the boost guage and KR guage to register before it splodes.![]()
