Ok so I've decided to replace my whole engine due to the fact that it already messed up on me and it already has over 150,xxx miles on it.....now my question is will a newer engine like the comp g or anything around that area fit in my car or should I just stick to the year of my car and find an engine like the one I have .....and where would I be able to find a good engine? Thanks in advance to anybody who can give me some info

Easiest solution is a drop in replacement. You have a Series II supercharged, find a Series II supercharged.

GM performance parts? They sell 3800 crate engines. Not necessarily cheap, but it wont have any miles on it...

miles have nothing to do with how the motor runs. i bet some of us on here have 150k mile cars that run awesome because we did regular maintenance.

id find anything less than 75k miles in a junkyard and call it good. and there is no reason why you wouldnt install some other goodies while the motor is out. realisitically if you needed anything it would be just the block. i bet your heads and up are just fine.

on my GTP, i had 240,000 miles on the OG engine, never had issues but i kept up on my maintenance, i got rid of the car years ago though

if you were wanting to go series 3 engine you'll gain 20 horses just in the swap but not really worth it for the cost

    stick with the series 2

check around at junk yards, morad is good but they can be pricey
