Like title says, whats a safe amount of kr? Overkill says 4kr is allowable. I wanna drop down to a 3.4 pulley after I get my meth injection and my overkill pcm. I'm going to keep a eye on the numbers and do some logging but I'm not sure what a safe amount of kr is. Yes I know 0 is what I'm looking for but lets be realistic, thats almost impossible yell at me and let me know what you think

Always shoot for 0, but I also heard up to 3 degrees of KR is allowable. I mean stock GTP's come with a good amount of KR IIRC but can't remember to what degree.

the lower the pulley, the worse off you are with KR.
if you have 1-2KR on a 3.4 pulley, that would probably be equivalent to 3-4KR (maybe more) on stock pulley.

    No KR is "acceptable".

Can you run with it? Sure.

Is it safe? The larger the pulley...the "safer" in theory KR is.

The smaller the pulley, the more exponentially dangerous KR becomes.

Brool Story Cro. I'd say 2-4KR and above gets sketchy the more pullied/turblow'd you are.

the more boost you run, the less you should 'allow' because the detonation compounds.

Ooo, btw my mods are "right now"

    Ssac headers
    High flow cat
    Res delete
    K&n cai
    3.6 pulley
    Autolite 104s

    Whats next...
    Overkill pcm
    3.4 pulley
    Aem, meth injection "50/50 mix"
    Electric cutout

The most kr I've seen with my setup was 5.4kr at WOT one time. Other than that I haven't ever seen it over 4.

That's too much as it is.

5.4* is nothing to scoff abooot.

    I'd run 100%, the 50/50 crap is a joke.

Also, if it is your daily...cutout is another joke...don't waste your money. You aren't going to really gain anymore flow with that than you are running it out the catback...since the factory exhaust is good for 350~ WHP.

And you're no where near that.

They do, it's called HPTuners, Digital Horsepower (DHP Tuner), Tiny Tuner (TT), LS1M, etc.

5HP..lololololz...but as Blueguy said depends how you drive it..drive it nice and don't constantly beat on it..it'll take 280-300whp. Anymore than that an expect to start breaking things. Likewise expect to break things if you beat on it with stock power.

the stock trans will break on stock power levels, sure theres people who baby it and make it last but if you drive it right its gonna break. as for the KR with that set up anything over 1* and the shifts i would be concerned with. dont waste your time with meth just get bigger injectors and run E85

E85 burns colder which lowers KR, theres a lot of info out there google and ask around, IMO its the best thing for a boosted car to make power
