    3.8L FI SC

I did a Coolent change (which was filthy as f**k), it had that dextrose **** or what ever it's called (the long life crap), I put normal green Coolent in it, pressurized at mr lube. It still runs a bit to hot, just above the middle line or is this normal?

What else could be the problem?

Also the air that comes out of the vent smells like sweaty feet. Already worked out any air pockets that might be.

take the heater core hoses off the engine and flush it with a garden hose. then when its full to the ends of the hoses hook them back up. top off your coolant and re bleed the system.

i like to let the car idle with the rad cap off till the fans come on, that way you know the t stat is open, bleed it, shut it, top it off, cap it. done.

waiting for the fans to come on can take up to 15 minutes.

Their are 2 black rubber hoses that come off the block beside the supercharger, that go right to the firewall, I assume those are the heater core hoses...

I thought it was summer, why do you need heat?

Either way, it's probably a bad heater core, I'd replace it.

Take the hoses off and try running water through them each way. I had the same issue with my 04'. I'd get barely any heat. I ran water through their backwards and got a bunch of crap to come out.

yeah pretty fool proof.. you should have a clamp on each on the hoses, a pair of pliers to squeeze the two sides together and slide the clamp over the lump, and up the hose some. now after you have both hose clamps off, twist the hose till it like snaps and breaks free, now it will twist easy, then twist and pull it off.

wait for the car to be cold, as the coolant coming out of these hose's is fvcking hot!

then just run a hose, open ended, no sprayer, to one of the hoses, and watch the other hose and it flushed out the coolant, till its clear water, the switch hoses, do the same.

it could be air locked, or clogged.

and like i said a few posts ago.

i like to let the car idle with the rad cap off till the fans come on, that way you know the t stat is open, bleed it from the T stat housing bleeder valve, open it till a steady stream of coolant comes out, then shut the bleeder. top it off the rad if needed, and cap it. done.

keep adding coolant as need while waiting for it to get hot, if coolant is burping out the cap hole, dont worry about it. let it burp, then fill it some more.

waiting for the fans to come on can take up to 15 minutes.
