I am looking for links to somewhere that has a entire engine for my 2002 gtp or parts. Something like intense racing, and thoughts on the engine they have. I also have a transmission i want to have rebuilt too.

    Is your engine bad?

95% of us just leave the bottem end stock and build it up, it can handle the power.

The intense one is a short block I believe....so you are better off with the ZZP one...it's closer to "drop in and go"....however you will still need to bolt on some things. And like the other guy stated...they are expensive as h*ll!

Can't give you an intelligent response 'cause I have no experience with either....you sure you want a completely new engine?

I dont know to much about them. I figured it would be cheaper to buy a new engine then buy all the parts and pay someone to put everything together and install.

i am not sure it overheated then the engine started being very loud. had it towed home and engine coolant was all over. Doesn't start now. I was guessing it was the heads or block?

LIM gaskets when bad,it overheated, coolant went in the oil which cause the loud noise(bearing knocking) and now it won't start because it's hydrolocked...that would be my guess.

thanks chris. I have to get to bed now but if you are on tomorrow night i will post more about it. I haven't really done all that much to it other then slp headers and catback, i had a tuned pcm with just the basics, also the k&n cai under the hood. I bought a smaller pully but i was waiting to get a xp cam or soemthing at the time and thermostat and colder spark plugs before i put the smaller pully on. Now i am thinking because I have 2 other cars i use for everyday driving. i would just go crazy on my grand prix and just make it a fun car, at first i was thinking thrasher engine and thrasher cam... i have another transmission i was going to try and rebuild on my own just to learn.

basically we were trying to get it through aircare for insurance. because of my high flow slp cat the engine light comes on and they wont test it. I had previously bought a o2 emulator that worked before but somehow it was taken off and i had to get another one. I installed that then my wife drove it around to let the computer get enough info on it to get tested. when she went back to get it tested they said not enough info yet, go drive it around take it on the highway get it up to 80km, and do reverse all that stuff. when she booted it up to 80 she said she heard a sound and the engine strated running loud. The next day she started it and it sounded normal. she drove to work and noticed it over heating, she stopped at a station got coolent and put some in. then she drove more still overheating so i told her maybe the thermostat was stuck or something to sit let it cool down then drive the rest of the short way to work. She sat for 40 minutes then went to start it and it would not start. had it towed, a guy put in a new started and it started but was making the bad engine noise again. got it towed home the bcaa guy said sounds and looks bad engine coolent leaking under the car. A few weeks before that it was in and got a new rod. I dont know if the new rod broke or soemthing. wow that was long haha
