The vid can show you exactly whats happening, but in short I try to drive and when it hits the 2.5 - 3k range it cuts out, lights blink briefly and it bogs down. Its almost like its hitting fuel cut or something. This is exactly what happens when Im driving, so its not a park limiter situation, Im on the ROAD when that happens and its not good (although I test revved gradually in park to find the hiccup point only) Runs rough, when your driving its constantly hiccuping and doing the above. I have played around with swapping vaccum lines from the bbv and the actuator and still nothing. Stumped.

Why are you trying to rev your engine when your engine temp is cold anyway? Yeah there is a limiter in park. Its so people dont do what your doing.

No not like rev stupid or anything, trying to see if it does the same limit in park as in driving and the same cut happens while driving. I was simply trying to see the correlation between the two....
    But thanks for the response....

Post the name of the code too....

But I already searched and its the Crank Shaft sensor code.

I would replace the sensor and look at the wires going to it for any issues.

Clear the code and see what the car does then.

I have a walmart scanner and it doesnt list the name of the code just the number, but thanks for the identification. I unplugged the maf and drove it. It was still crappy but at least it didnt jerk and studder as much. It threw the code again, then I drove it again after clearing it. The same jerk, hesitation, studder and up and down rpm mess began again.

Also checked the actuator to make sure it was opening and closing.

The limiter isnt even untill 3800 rpm.

Going slowly up to what he was doing at 2-3k wont hurt anything.

OP, if its still throwing that same code, I would address that issue first and then see if the problem persists.

My concern is if I go after the crankshaft sensor, an then its actually the icm or similar since I'm now hearing the code can be several things. I wish codes had one meaning vs several.

Rescanned today with a better device to see the difference and still got a p1374 code, BUT I got an error message along with it, "manufacturer control ignition system or misfire".
