Like the title says i spun a bearing in my 99gtp. Ive been told by a few people that i can use the l26 bottom end and swap the rest of my motor over. i just wanted to make sure that i can swap everything and if i would be better to use some of the l26 parts(if any of them work)

L26 bottom end is a bit stronger than your L67 bottom end, as long as you get a 2005+ L26. The 2004 L26 used the same rods as the L36 since the sinter forged rods weren't in large enough production yet. You will get the higher compression with the L26 block and it might take a little tuning to get it running smooth again. The plus side is like I said it's stronger and you'll make more power on boost than a L67/L32 bottom end.

i got a 07 L26 with 9K miles on it. So i should be buying all the gaskets for a l67 and they will work with no problems..

All 3800's from Series II and Series III use the same head gaskets and lower intake gaskets.

^^Depends weather you want to take the heads off again..... and you'll gain a little MPG with the higher compression(if you drive the same as before, cause it only uses less fuel under vacuum, under boost is another story)

You'll need a bigger pulley to go with that higher compression. If you plan not to take the heads off again you should just get felpros and stock head bolts.

If you were running a 3.25 and now you are adding more compression I would definately try the 3.4 first.

Had the same problem in my 99 GTP Superchared. Bought a crank kit/w bearings from Orielly's and it runs great. Cost less than 400.00.
