    Has anyone tried these out? Are they worth the investment over the L32 powdered metal rods?

    I'm no where near building a nice forged motor (JE Pistons as well), I was just curious since I saw them on their site today while I was buying my finned Trans Pan.

    depends on your HP goals. you going to be making big numbers? L32 rods are more than good enough for 300-400hp builds

    Plenty of people have been making 600+whp without failure on l67-l32, the cost of them are about the cost of a used l67-l32 so I don't really see the benefit unless you need to burn some money.

    L26 rods have been broken in the 350+whp but the motors are cheap, so sometimes worth the risk.

    I'm currently on a L32 bottom end. I'm pushing that 450whp mark. If I ever wanted to go higher (ST5 cam and ported heads), I'm fairly sure I would upgrade the bottom end. If the L32/L67s are the limit, I'll just use the spare L67 short block I have.

    ZZP studded that L36 they had and it made over 800FWHP and ran 8's?

    Just stud the mains/rods/heads...have the block balanced and save your money on the rods. L32's are stout.

    the L36 has not really been "proven" over 600whp... if it has its been once or twice...

    That being said... it takes ALOT of effort to break a L67 rod... if you are under 600whp you have no reason to upgrade.

    L36 rods with broken rod bolts/end caps.

    L26 rods snapping.

    Its all good. L67 guys seem to chuck rod bearings well before they break the rod itself.

    Scott: your take on rod bolt/end cap with the L36 rods?
