Fuel pump is fine (got a volt meter on it). Spark stays happy. No security light. Ran fine when I parked it (12 months ago). Runs perfect for those 3 seconds and dies hard. No major difference with maf plugged in or not. Gas looks cruddy, I had the gas cap off the whole time.

Ran out of time to hook up the scanner, but I wouldnt know what to look for other than the injectors just turning off.

did a critter build a home in your air box or your exhaust? have someone put their hand by the exhaust and see if they feel it when it fires up...

fuel pump has 14 volts when it dies... The reason I parked it was to take out my old fuel pump I had in there (custom double pump setup), just now getting around to putting it back to stock. Fuel pump is a junkyard special.

I dont have a FP gauge for it today (every time I buy one it breaks the next day). I will grab one tomorrow just to make sure...but it is really strange that I can be revving it at 2500 rpms no problem or idling smooth at 1000 and it still dies in 3 seconds every time.

Fuel filter is a small possibility, but I am doubting it really... it gets fuel I was able to spray some out of the rail with plenty of pressure while it was running (remote start).

Speaking of remote start... i wonder if that is causing issues?

Try spraying fuel out of the rail after it dies that'll tell you if its the filter

uh, I did it while its running, and it stays running, and fuel keeps spraying after it turns off until the pump turns off.. my hood was covered in gas lol.

I second this when i first bought my car drove it home fine to school next day went to leave made it one block and died would not start up after that left it a cpl hours came back made it home next day it completely **** on me

had it to two mechanics the first checked the theft system and fuel pump said they were both good sumptin electronic was wrong
took it to the dealership they told me the fuel pump was bad
I told them that wasnt possible I had the pump out connected to a direct power source and it worked fine
they called me back a day later with a much smaller bill and a fuel pump relay circuit or fuse diagnosis
I'm sorry officer I didnt know I couldn't do that

He said it still has fuel at the rail after it dies which means the fp is still pumping.

The remote shouldn't unless that's what you are using to start it.

I've seen MAF do this, sound like you have pressure. So the next thing is ... the ICM is supposed to run the motor for 10 seconds then hand off to the pcm. Check ICM connections etc.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I have been using the remote start on and off... so i can fiddle with things while it is starting... but when I do use the key it does the same things, and again it doesnt throw the security light. It really seems like a security type problem to me... but I think I am using a 98 GTP pcm so I dont see how it could be giving me problems.

ICM hasnt change other than new plug wires. I would suspect just low timing if the ICM cant connect to the PCM for some reason.. it shouldnt just stop sparking. I ran a motor without a PCM for 30 seconds or so before using the ICM on base timing.

check your ICM connection.. w/o .. you might get zip. with a loose one you might get vibration shut off.

Security turns off injectors in 98. Fuel pump can continue to run IIRC.

What is dropping out, fuel or spark?

PK3 key's started in 2000. I bet its the security system dude or somethin in the PCM. It sounds just like an issue Bluegtp91 was having with his bluecar before he sold it.
