Everyday when i get in my car in the morning and start it up i turn left to get out of my driveway and when i do i can feel a grinding in my peddal but after it goes away and doesnt happen again. Ive looked at the control arm bushings sway bar links and and everything seems to look fine. Any ideas?

my 98 regal does it too, every time you start the car and take off it does it, if you back up with out using the brakes it will do it in reverse too.

My 05 impala ss does it everyday first time it moves while i`m backing up in reverse. In my situation i`ve noticed my rear passenger caliper seems like it likes to sieze also the only brake pads sqeaking are the pair on the rear passenger side. Maybe you could be dealing with a caliper starting to get sticky an seize up overtime. I`m about to order some new calipers sometime soon and throw my EBC pads an new rotors on i`ll let you know if my problem goes away. Hope you figure it out.

I have an 04 and I get the same thing. It feels like the ABS is doing something, possibly a self check like dsmuts mentioned. It only happens once when i reverse out of my drive way. I always thought of that as normal. I've had this car for just over 5 years now and no issues with the brakes.
