    Any KR is bad KR.

just because a stock car has 5* of KR WOT doesnt mean its good lol
plus knock gets exponentially more destructive with each pulley size drop.
2* of knock on a 3.2 is more harmful than 5* of knock with a 3.8.

hmmmm did not know that, but your saying on a 3.4'' pulley 2* on KR at the shifts is bad?....like potentially chipping a piston bad?

detonation will wear down the piston, and weaken it over time.

    Eventually it will fail.

The more power you make, the more accelerated the process.

Pontiac Performance Racing Products for International Sales from SSAutochrome Inc.
    Price - $175 + 50.00 shipping...

Side Note - more needed for the Copper RTV, and the good Clamps but that is like +/- $25.00

You won't drop that kind of dough into your DD but you spent money on the ZZP STB, the GMPP Sways, a 3" DP & Cat-Back, and 12" Brake upgrade... not to mention the Built Trans in your sig.... I'd love an explanation.

lol @ thinking headers are expensive.

You don't want to blow up the car then pulley up.

Or get a good tune, a canned PCM on a pullied car that is getting old isn't going to be knock free like they were able to 15~ years ago.

Yeah headers are cheap, mildly frustrating to install. $200 on headers for the gtp is better than $200 spent on some hoebag at the bar this weekend. Yes headers are better than that...! lol

You just need to get a custom tune...and skip the lame DP crap, because the second most restrictive part of the car is in the manifolds...its an awful factory design anyways...I'm sure if we were able to run a setup similar to what Vogel did back in the day with 2" primary long tubes that ran under the oil pan and had a "B-Pipe" like the VQ FWD Maxima's for example...mind you that was nearly an 11 second rocker car as well. You get someone that can tune well, that 3.4" should be fine with headers as long as everything else is in good shape.
