Debating on installing my VS Cam myself. How many of you guys have done your own installs and how hard or easy is it? Is there a step by step write up? Write ups are always very helpful.

Uhhh, yea.
VS is lame anyways.
Go big or go home.
Well, bigger than that at least.
Google or the How-To/General Tech section here...there is tons of cam info.
I did my own VS cam. Great daily driver for last 4 years!
I'm going to be installing my cam myself whenever i get around to it.
VS Cam + 1.7 rockers = XP Cam lift so ill be good lls
I installed my XP cam and daily drove it. Awesome cam and not hard at all to install with a little know how. Helps i have a ton of friends local that lend a hand.
I'm putting an XP cam in soon. Getting here tomorrow, then have to wait until I can find somebody who knows how to do it to help out.
Hope i got the right Harmonic Balancer remover

which puller doesnt matter much, its the special bolts and a spacer of some sort that'll get ya:

or with a balancer puller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lisle-45300-...item4399841494
Any store i can go out to purchase them from? I hate waiting...
Aren't they m6's? I used 1/4" and was careful, I don't recommend it but it worked. I also used a socket as the spacer.
I've installed a bunch of cams. Overall there's nothing hard about it. You loosen bolts and take a piece off here and there, pull out the cam, slide the new one in, and put pieces/bolts back together. As far as motors go, ours are very simple and easy. This makes working on/learning about them pretty fun and enjoyable.
The bolts you would like on that balancer are M6 x 1.00 x ~75mm. You can use 1/4" fine pitch bolts if you can't get the M6's. The M6 is tough to find in that length.
If you're installing a cam, save yourself the fun of playing in your wheel well/ dropping the cradle, and yank the motor instead.
I just pulled my cam out last night through the wheel well area. It wasn't too bad. I prefer what Explicit said though...pulling the engine and having everything right out in the open is very nice...especially with an aftermarket timing chain.
This will work correct??
