Why do you want it? My GT radiator works well with a stock T-stat. Youll just be adding more weight.

previous owner put in the n/a 5/8" core instead of the 1" core that comes with the supercharged engines. my car heats up under stop n go or medium to high loads.

new drilled 180 thermostat and pcm is programmed to turn fans on at 185* ive seen temps a tad bit over 210 already.

while i am going to replace to a stock 1" unit, thought maybe i could get a bit more cooling capacity with the dual core out of the 04+ cars. if it will fit without hacking anything up.

Do you have the ducting in front of the rad?

If not, look for that first.

IIRC they didnt have that on the 97's I know mine doesn't have it.
If you look between the front bumper cover and the rad support there is supposed to be plastic that directs the flow of air into the radiator.

Here is a pic without the air ducts

i will have to check that out, hmm. that will really make that much of a difference in cooling efficiency, if mine is missing?

Its supposed to help that is why they added them in. You could probably get that stuff from a junk yard for cheep. There is also one that goes on the bottom and there might be a few more I'm not 100% sure on that.
