my next mod is gonna be the pacesetter header package from zzp. Im just waiting for the cash to get it then i can have someone put it on along with my brand new slp dual cat back exhust sytem still sitting in the box in my room. Well whats ur guys input on that pacestter header package ? This is what i want to go with so is their anything i need to get or watch out for ? I do know that this package comes with crappy paper gaskets and i think theirs a need for longer bolts but im not really sure.

Also when i get the headers and i am ready to put it all on, well actully im gonna have someone else do it , well when i am ready to put the header package on, which is 450 at zzp and my slp dual cat back exhust should be everything i need and that should finish my exhust work? do i have to do anything else, Doing all this does that mean i dont need to do any deletes or anything ?

yea if you do headers and catback, that will take care of all your exhaust , no need for any "delete" kits.. i would just have an exhaust shop make your catback with what ever mufflers you want.. the new slp catback isnt so great like the old loudmouth in MY opinion and youll save money by haveing the shop make the cat back.. and just get a resonator and youd be set.. i would possible think about gett the cross over pipe welded too..im sure some more people will chime in with better info...once again these are all my opinions...

Yea i changed my mind, due to more bad reviews than good reviews about the pacesetter, for example how much of a pain in the ass it is to install it. So im going with the slp headers cat combo which is $999 but i heard nothing but good reviews about it, and i like the idea of having the slp exhust and slp headers. So what makes the slp powerflo cat-back exhust isnt soo great ? thats the exhust system i bought, which is still sitting in the box, im just waiting for the cash for thr headers, I was just wondering.

well you should just get the headers the cat aint got do squat.. its a waste of money unless you HAVE to have one.. i had RT high flow and i took it off and just ran no cat and there was no diff? so whats the point of spending that money .. if you run a resonater with those mufflers youll be fine...
i had stock manis with no cat and resonator with dynomax mufflers and i was quieter then my buddys toggs with STOCK cat no resonater and loudmout.. if that makes sense. basically go with slp and save some cash and get a resonater instead of a high flow cat..the power flow ithink its the same thing as GTX exhaust (i read that somewhere) i know the mufflers i are completely diff then the old loudmouth wich i do like the loudmouth and def like the headers...

By the way Maine looks for a cat when they put your car on the lift for your yearly safety inspection.

I dont have to worry about that. I work at an autoshop where i live and i plan on getting my inspection sticker licsence sometime this summer lol I heard its hard to get and that you really can't abuse it, cause if something happends somehow i think it goes back to the person who put the sticker on.

I posted in your other thread but here it is again

Ive got pacesetters and for the price i spent, i couldnt be happier. I picked up some felpro mani gaskets from AZ for $10. I used these Dynomax Lap-Joint Band Clamps: WLK-33226 - summitracing.com for my y pipe. And i used one of these Percy's Seal-4-Good Collector Gaskets: PHP-66002 - summitracing.com at the collector. You are also gonna need some longer crossover bolts which you can just pick up from the local hardware store. I also just picked up an O2 extension because i didnt feel like hacking away at the O2 sensor wires. Ive had them installed for a little over a month and i have yet to have any sealing problems (knocks on wood ).

I really think that the Pacesetter problems are blown a little out of proportion. There may be a few problems here and there, but if they are installed correctly (good clamps, and/or welding) you should be just fine. You are talking about spending $1000 for the SLP, whereas you would only be spending $350 for the Pacesetters. That $650 price difference would be enough of a reason for me to go with the little bit of frustration the Pacesetters may bring. Aside from the leak at the y, the Pacesetters are a well made set of headers. All of the welds are nice and clean, and the tubing is nice and thick. Id suggest just going with the Pacesetters.

    Just my $.02
