so i want to buy headers but i'm not paying a shop to put it on, my friend and i will d the work, but I want to do a tune up as well but i am having trouble getting to the back spark plugs and i'm concerned about the plug boots and the casing around them. Are the casing and/or the boots connected to something? cuz i tried to take off the boot but it was on there pretty good and i didnt wanna chance ripping the wires out of the boot (i have done that before) so do i just need to use more force or do i have to disconect something? and how do i get to the plugs in back? thanks

oh and one more thing, my car is ETC, is there anyway to rev it from the engine bay?

[QUOTE=GP_Kid18;85760]way to rev it from the engine bay?QUOTE]

    I dont think so

For the metal boots, hold them and turn them (like you would if loosening a bolt) about 70 - 90 degrees back and forth (don't keep spinning in one direction!!!) and they should come off pretty easy

Stock wires are fine. I am running a set of stockers from Autozone. Unless you are running in the 10s, you don't need anything other than stock wires.

As for plugs, I would stay stock on them too. Maybe 104s if you are serious about performance. But just a simple tune up, I would stick with stock AC Delco plugs.

If you aren't wanting to spend that much for the tool a ratchet strap does the same thing for less money. Just watch as you are tightening so you don't tighten it right into the radiator.

by rev it from the engine bay do you mean rev the motor wqhile standing outside the car?

if so, just pull back on the throttle linkage.

He has the Drive by Wire (or ETC Electronic Throttle Control), so there is no throttle linkage, just wires
