Also, it's not going to pull in hot air from there since the filter is closer to the headlight and it has these two gaping holes to pull cool air through:

And this one, where you see the PCM:

And you know this how? Any testing? A lot of statements coming from someone who hasn't even tried one but "has seen one before". I've seen California on the map, so I know everything about it.

Fact is, you're modded box is pulling air through a smaller tube, which has to get air through a filter with less surface area, all while still using a ribbed accordion tube which causes tons of turbulence. Simple logic will tell anyone it is not getting the same amount of air. The WizAired made 17WHP over a MSP box on a modded GTP in head to head dyno testing. Yeah, a stock air box will keep up.

Now, do you have any numbers?

I, nor others, have no complaints about the overall quality of it despite what I paid. Not sure which generation of the WizAired you saw, but the latest gen looks just fine in my eyes. Brushed aluminum and a look that makes it seem its supposed to be there. I know several Impala owners with the Wiz who win car shows. David99GTP has the latest Wiz and competes in some big name events. If it looked cheap, he probably wouldn't win. Seems you're grasping for straws to bash it.

The WizAired insulation is the same high quality stuff available for building construction. I found it at Lowes (for a high dollar price, I might add) and it has similar ratings. Not sure what you're getting at.
I dont disagree with your statments, but pulling numbers would be interesting to compare. And I am guessing that I may have seen a previous version ? I have though heard alot of people on this forum stat that the tube and box itself is pretty flimsy, again I dont know what version though.

The box felt a little flimsy during install, but once it's in it is solid as a rock. The tube isn't flimsy either. It's only downfall is repeated and frequent removals will eventually fray the end. Frequent modders should keep that in mind. Mine is showing small signs of it, but is still very usable and doesn't show to anyone just looking at it.

ZZP sells replacement tubes for two reasons. First, the reason I stated above. Second, and the original reason, because those top swapping and going intercooled will require a different tube, so it's cheaper to buy the tube than a new Wizaired and ZZP accounted for this.

    You're relentless.

It's coming... and mine will be indiscernible from a L67, not a SS M90 kit.

I think you've got the wrong idea on the time frame. Probably next summer. I've got a four month deployment coming up in February and my time until then is putting the parts together and getting ready. I've got rockers to buy, springs, some TB porting to get done, maybe injectors, definitely injector connectors, ZZP MPS, getting a Intense shift kit to help, and the list goes on.

    It's definitely happening though.

Except that I want to pull the heads so I know they're completely cleaned, rebuilt, and fresh. Like having a brand new engine.

As long as we're already off topic, quick question. Did you have to get a L67 brake booster hose or does the L36 hose work?
