Have an 05 here too. Same thing with mine Start it up some times it runs fine, then some times runs like hell, shift lags, boggs down. Turn it off restart it rungs just fine. Been like that for years. No one it seems has an answer. No codes new wires. plugs MAF & TB cleaning PCVs. The only thing that I noticed made a little change was when I replaced the Factory battery with a new one, It doesnt do it near as often, So I dont know if the new battery or the reset had any thing to do with it. Runs like a dream when its right. No one seems to know.

Wild guess here, but possible internal PCM problem?

Unplug your MAF and take it for a drive, try to make the problem happen.

I just got over this I hope (you can read my thread in the supercharged section)... and I think it's gunna be better now.

The car acts like it's not getting any gas, sputters, and will hit 4000rpm just to get going. I always use the Shell 93 V-power gas in it, so I don't think I have bad gas. And then after the engine cools off for a few hours, boom, it's a rocket again.

Any ideas? I love this car, but this is really annoying.

Mass air flow sensor is bad, cleaning them don't help. Or vacuum leak. The EGR to lower intake manifold tube is known to fail
