When i bought my car a month ago firestone told me that i was going to need to get a trans flush done because the fluid smelled burnt. My car has 67,000 miles on it. I have no clue about how the previous owner kept the car and im 80% sure these are the actual miles I've heard a lot of bad things about trans flushes. What would you guys recommend? I was told that it's better to drain the fluid and just add more. I drive the car moderately hard daily and i plan on doing a few mods down the road.

    No.

Drain the fluid, change the filter, put new fluid in.

^^^Agreed, but smell it yourself, I was told that my fluid was old and smelled burned 1 week after I did a fluid exchange(It was and still is fine and no burn smell) sometimes they look at mileage then recommend the service any way possible
