cars put up for the winter, when it I get it back out, I'll make another vid. Maybe with a different camera.

Track Tested 10/16/2011 at the Buick vs. Ford Shoot out in Noble, OK.

Some pictures with the GTP. The cob belt did fantastic. I made my final, and won against my mustang, I did my part for the team, though Team Buick lost.

I believe that if its capable of holding up to the drive down, racing with burn out likes these, and driving back home, and I'm still on the original belt, I'd say its dang near perfected. Been on the same belt for a year and a half. Ya, its getting worn, but that's the nature of it.

Was going to go to the Ford vs Buick shoot out but was having issues with the car around that time. Going to try and make it out next year. Hopefully I'll get to meet ya in person then.

I guess the shoot out for this part year was going to be at Ark Kansas City, KS which is about 45 minutes south of Wichita. It was going to be held at MADD Track, and there was some sort of track/vendor/event conflict, so it was canceled. I'd go again, we had a blast. Was fun just to watch all the GN's running. I could really careless about some of the Fords, but some of them were pretty impressive with their turbo set ups.

That cog setup is very sick, however I have no issues with belt slip on a 6-rib with a 2.6" pulley.

I didn't have belt slip problems either. I built/set up my engine so I don't have to run anything smaller than a 3.2" for the same gains.

It was built just because I wanted to, and to do something different, and have something different and unique. More than just show, it goes as well.

For sure no slip now, solid numbers across the scan. I was pleased with that.

That was roughly about what I spent out of pocket in materials, and custom tooling. $1,500.00 I had to have some cutters reworked/custom made for this project. Labor to reproduce another one would spike the price up, and out of what anyone would ever pay.

It was never intended to be mass produced, just a custom one off to be different and cool. Always wanted to make a cog belt set up since I first got my car in 2001, its always nice when a idea hits paper, then gets created.
