3800 Intercooler/Fuel Related Items - Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, Chevy Monte Carlo / Impala SS, Buick Regal GS - Thrasher Engineered Performance

A buddy got bored and was looking for fun parts and came across this over the weekend.

I KNOW its WAY overpriced, but is this something new or have they just been put on the back burner. I hear of people going for ZZP's or W-Body's IC Setups, never Thrasher. If it is just because of price I can understand, just thought it might be a considerable option.

And the fuel rails look sharp

    Thoughts?

With THRASHER engraved on the front. lol.

Ya I know its alot like ZZPs setup, and the price is just rediculous, I just thought I'd put it out there for comments as I had never heard of them other than the CAI Box Pkg.

Thrasher is one of the original WBody vendors, but I'm almost certain they have been out of business for years now. Unless they are back?

    The Thrasher IC was boss.

Best intercooler ever made for the platform IMO, besides the PRJ IC.

Cost wise...well, you got what you paid for...legitness.

And yeah, their website is still up...but you can't buy from them anymore...they have been long since gone...pretty sure they close up shop right after I started to mod my blue car in '07.

3800 Performance purchased the designs from them. So you can buy certain thrasher items from there.

nick said it all. the thrasher core was the best out there, just short of the PRJ unit which you can still pay a premium to get.

    / Sad face

Figured it was long gone. Like I said, a friend came across it and was like "you need this" and it sparked curiosity. I had little hope since nobody speaks of them but I thought I'd throw it out there.

    NEWSFLASH.

They still sell T-Shirts on Fleabay.

Get them before they end up like their cores.

Not built like ZZP or WBS, Thrasher used a bar and plate heat exchanger. ZZP, WBS and my intercooler use heater cores. PRJ uses a bar and plate. Bar and plate is heavy duty but expensive.
