So ima be throwing some thrush turbos and a glaspack on my car next week and i have a cpl options for the res.
I have a listing for a 30" and a 40" both around 30 bucks cus of my amazing dicount but my quetion is i want the car to sound good and i know the louder they are the ****tier they sound but will a 40" be overkill? I dont want the thing to be dead silent i just want to lose the rasp. I heard these mufflers and they sound better than every muffler i have heard.

if you have after market pipes you'll want it as close to factory as possible, if you have factory pipes you need to have it welded in, so length wont matter them, the longer it is, the better it fights drone they say.

I'm running headers, no cat, factory resonator, factory catback other than thrush turbo mufflers. I enjoy it no ungodly drone going down the road.

Going from a 36" glasspack and Jones Super V mufflers to the current is an ears bleed difference.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

Factory resonator is 30", that is why I ordered a 30" glasspack for my setup... I am really hoping to have it all put together and on this weekend! I have Speed daddy headers, 3" downpipe, 3" race cat, followed by 30" long 3" glasspack, 3" mandrel bends back to a "Y" pipe, then dual 2.5" back to 2.5" in/out thrush Turbo mufflers, with Dual 3" outlet resonated C6 Corvette tips.

Mine is all welded together right now, minus the mufflers/tips. Taking it to work with me tomorrow to get it hung under the car... If all goes smoothly I should be driving home tomorrow evening with it all installed! I am sure a video being posted to my build thread will follow shortly after..

The shorter the glass pack the louder it is.

I went with the shortest glasspack in 2.5" that I could find. I believe its 12" and a cherry bomb. Im using Borla Mufflers though. It got rid of 90% of the drone while still being pretty loud. I'm pretty happy with it, but if you want to completely kill any and all drone 100% then yeah you have to get like a 30"+. Im content with it being barely noticeable.

Does a 12" glasspack kill the tinny raspyness though?

    Who knows.

The Borla's probably do that though...they're a pretty subtle muffler.

I'd still run at LEAST a 30" glasspack...hence...packed with glass...so the more glass packed into it, the longer it'll last too. So keep in mind a tiny glasspack won't last very long.
