    Hey guys!

I am getting ready to take the GTP across country for a family vacation and wanted to gain the extra power before we went. Here is the issue, I acquired a gen v blower in real good shape as well as the L32 LIM. I got all of the proper parts from various locations locally. went with the felpro metal lim gaskets and GM L32 plenum gasket. installation went relatively easy. upon start up the motor jumped to around 4k-4500 rpm. I immediately shut it off and began looking into where i went wrong. I feel as if I have a huge leak somewhere and I am curious to know if anyone has experienced this issue before? I removed the blower and started to double check the torque on the lim bolts and they checked out. now for the blower itself it looks like there is quite of excess gasket around the base of the blower near the snout. should i have run some RTV around the lim before the gasket? also i was given 2 sets of end seals for the lim, one set with the locator pins and the other set is soft rubbery type. do they mate together? any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well, do you hear a vacuum leak, or have to put a vacuum gauge on to confirm?

Also, did you mess with the sensors on the Throttle body any? because if you dont put the throttle position sensor on right, then it will rev right up to 4000k or so and stay there...took me a few hours to figure that one out.

And yes, there is supposed to be excess gasket material under the snout on the LIM.

On the end seals, you are fine. Here's info about why the other set was in there http://www.grandprixforums.net/lim-g...ign-39522.html

Did you plug the hole for the evap on the back of the Gen V, or use the gen V evap?
Did you run the pcv to the correct place?
Do you have an open port on the L67 throttle body?
Did you run a different maf and not program the pcm.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i also have an adapter plate in between the throttle body and the S/C and the throttle cable feels slightly loose could that be part of the prob?

Also i dont really hear a vacuum leak and have yet to test it.

And im assuming that the throttle cables are hooked up properly, and the TB isnt being held open.

If you look at this gen v. You see the black of the N* throttle linkage? Look just to the right..see the hole that can be plugged with either the evap from that year or a 3/8" npt plug.

To correctly use pcv you would need to run a hose from where it is on the Gen V above to a nipple that you tap into a plug on the bottom of the tb. Like it's explained in the first 5 pictures of this thread
