I have changed many intake gaskets in the past without a lot of issues but this L67 takes the cake.
How do you guys pull the lower without splashing coolant into the oil? I drained the radiator with the upper bleed valve open until nothing would come out before I cracked the intake bolts loose. When I broke the manifold free and started out of the engine bay all I could hear was water falling all over everything.
Oh that and the gas dump when the injectors decide to stay in the head... That was fun too.
These cars are just a ton of fun to work on.
What damage is done? Will most of the water come out in the oil change before starting?
