So, I'm finally getting around to dropping my oil pan. I have all of the bolts out, the motor mounts disconnected, the cradle loose and lowered, the engine (or what little bit is still in the car at this point) jacked up as high as I can get it, and I still cannot get the oil pan to come out!
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me? I don't have the means to support the block from above as the heads are off and I don't have a hoist anyway.
I'm considering suspending the motor as best I can from below, then completely removing the cradle, but I really don't want to have to go that far.
