Just did the maintence above and there is a ticking sound in the engine. I let it run for about 5 mins and it never went away. Tried taking it for a very short drive and the ticking kept going through acceleration too. Anyone have any idea where I may have gone wrong or how to fix it? It sounds like it is coming from the front valve cover.

Thanks for the responses, the problem is solved now. I failed to mention I changed out my water pump, forgot to tighten the pulley screws after I put on the belts. I'm lucky I didn't lose a bolt lol. But I do hear kind of a rattle coming from the S/C snout now. Is it possible running the belt with a loose pulley messed something up?

Sound like rocks in a bucket??

Supercharger coupler would be the problem.

No i replaced the the coupler with a stock OEM replacement a few months ago. Its more of a maraca sound? I'm bad at similies. But I did break the vacuum line from the evap to the vaccuum manifold thing so maybe once i replace that it will solve the problem.

you better hope you dont have the same noise i had.. first it sounded like a rattling/grinding noise, so im like its just the coupler replaced that it wasn't. Then i got a stethoscope, sounded like it was coming from the snout replaced that with a brand new snout wasn't that. Then i bought a used blower replaced it with that, still noise not as bad. I still have noise to this day but i have a blown up l67 that my friend had in one of his cars (car dealer) he said was running fine then the customers over heated it and blew it up. Hes replaced the engine and gave me the blown up one for parts so im gonna try that and if that don't work then, my guess its something simple like the idler pulleys but they seem good but i don't know.

Damn I sure hope not. Hopefully it will smooth itself out because it wasn't doing it before the LIM gasket and rocker replacement.
