I just did a top swap on my 98 GP GT ran perfect before. Now to get it to start I have to hold the gas down alittle and it doesn't stay running unless i hold the gas. Only code is P0300 for a random misfire

    Heres a video

Double check your plug wires. Trust me....I'm pretty sure. You do have some exhaust on it right?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Let's see. Your having to keep the TB open and your getting a P0300. Sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

Fuel issue? Maybe FP resistor or pump?

Make sure the pump winds up with key "ON". Then check fuel pressure at schrader valve.

Oh, forgot you did the swap. So starting fliud gets it running and there are no other DTC's. HMMMM.

Still sounds like a vacuum leak. I know it's hard to check for vacuum leaks when it won't idle but maybe someone can help you...one guy with a can of carb cleaner and the other keeping it running at a steady RPM.

    Edited:

Did you try unplugging the MAF?
