Hey guys i did a search but im pretty sure my 01 is different from the 04 so im posting this here.

I have 01 GTP and when i was getting a tune up done on the car today i noticed there was puddles on antifreeze on the top of motor on the front in between the bolts. Also on the passanger side on top.

This last month has not been the best with the car new things keep popping up. Car has around 122KM or so on it.
What could this be my intake gasket? Is this hard to change out? Or let me know what the possibilities could be thanks for the help.

that would be the bolts seeping coolant up the threads, they go into the the block where the coolant flows.

i have the same problem and i dumped a bottle of bars copper head and intake sealant, it worked. but not over night, it took a week to seal up good.

most will say its bad for your engine, and it probably is, but short of doing the lim gasket, and properly sealing the bolts with thread sealant, its the cheap easy way out.

and my water pump did go bad after a month or so of putting this stuff in, but i also have 220,000 miles and it was most likely ready to go anyways. my heat still works and my engine runs no where near hot since using the bars stop leak copper head and intake sealant. since using it i have flushed my coolant and im still not losing coolant up on the lim bolts. stuff does work....

Another option would be to drain some coolant, remove the bolt or bolts that are leaking. Put some teflon tape or thread sealer on them and reinstall.

I use a thread sealer from Loctite...#577. It dries to a soft, plastic like consistency and its real easy to work with. You just have to let it dry for a couple of hours though.

If you'll be pulling bolts then may as well replace the LIM gaskets, its not that bad of a job. It takes me a couple of hours.

you can't just remove the bolts and seal them, to get them out you mind as well do the lim gasket they are deep under stuff thats in the way.

looks good, 2 oil changes worth of oil tho, buy some cheap crap to run through it after the lim job is done, run it and then change the oil and filter again. this is to help remove any coolant that may or may not have leaked into the crank case.

make sure you get thread sealant for water jackets, (this is for the lim bolts) read the label on the jar. the one i got cost about 6 or 7 bucks and i had 3 to chose from.

the puddles come back.....it takes some time. but you will look again and there they are.

get a flash light, even in the day time to get a good look in the rear bolts. i use my maglight every couple of weeks and check around being that mine were leaking.
