dang i dunno was checking out all the exhaust setups. might change it, i dunno
You dont need the Magnaflows from the GXP to add to your GT. You can just get the standard Magnaflows from any muffler shop. Unless you want the preattached muffler tips. I got the Mufflers from a local shop here in St. Louis and then purchased the 04+ upgraded muffler tips off eBay sometime ago for my GT. Here is a picture of them.
The only thing I will mention to the negative about the Magnaflows is the ungodly droan will inherit when you slapping them on. I had them on my old GT for the last 2-3 years I owned her. Personally I would just save the about $150-200 bucks you are gonna spend on the Magnaflows and save a bit more to get the SLP Powerflo package.
Why? You ask. Simple. You can get for $479 bucks (before shipping) the SLP Powerflo kit from 3800 Performance. SLP ?GTX? Cat-Back Exhaust System: 3800 Performance and you will gain the 2.5" catback and the mufflers and the SLP trapizoid style tips and save yourself a ton of droan over the Magnaflows.
I have them on my newer GTX as well and I can vouch for them being a low more quiet yet more powerful due to the 2.5" piping used on them. Plus they are bolt-on direct fitting. Meaning there is no special tools needed to install them. When I had my Magnaflows installed, I spent an additional $100 bucks to have the muffler shop redo the rear piping to get them line up near stock. And even then they were still not 100% right.
Also if you get aftermarket tips, if you dont buy the GXP setup, you are gonna spend another $100 bucks on them. So now you are already upto at least $300-350 spent on that. For just $100 bucks more you can get the SLP package and be a lot happier in the long run!
