I assume it would... My only concern would be the MAF.... I am not sure if they did anything to that as far as changes go...

I put an 00 tb on a 97, just had to drill and tap for a vac port. Why can't you just cap the port on a 97 tb for it to work on an 00?

You guys need to explain your answer instead of just no it won't work. People can't research if all they find in other posts is " no that won't work" with no explanation.

I would think you can bypass that and just go to the boost Solenoid?

Hippo really needs to quit giving car advice and stick to telling the differences between oak and maple leaves.

If you swap the '97 GTP TB on to a '00 car, most likely it'll toss the P0171 vac leak code for improper MAF readings...I had that issue when I tossed a newer L36 TB on my '98 GT. A '97 TB will work on a 97-98 car...and a 99-03 TB will work on a 99-03 car.

Now if you go about porting it you'll still need a MAF tune for the car anyways, in which THEN you could use any TB, especially since you're just hogging it out.
