I just bought my 01 gtp in Feb. I was wondering how it'll run with these parts on it before I drop a lot of money into it.
Here's my parts list and mods I was thinking of... Cutting off the u bend and resignator running striaght pipe, magnoflow cat, 3.5 underdrive pulley, k-n cold air system, 45,000 volt coil packs, 8.8 mm accept wires, ngk irodium plugs. Any help would be appreciated

The MSD coils begin misfiring after about a year of use at high rpms. Stay with your stockers, they are better. Accel wires, I have no opinion of..but for the cost..you could just stick with new AC Delco's. They work great in high power builds. On that 3.5, take a look at the thread for modding linked in BlueGTP91's signature. Better to start slow and learn than chip pistons. If you go for a smaller pulley, plugs go with it...but iridiums tend to get a hotter tip than copper core. So that's a consideration with predetonation in a force induction setup.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanx bill for that link. I'll follow it as it was written. 2 questions tho. 1 should I go with 3.4 or 3.5 pulley? 2 I have to change the exhuast convertor what replacement would be best?

If you buy headers it'll replace the converter with a straight pipe...you won't need one. With headers, a 3.4" should be fine...keyword SHOULD. You should always scan the car for knock regardless.

OR, you can opt for a 3.6" pulley and just get a 3" downpipe with a cat in there from ZZPerformance...it'd make a LITTLE difference over stock...maybe 10-20 WHP.
