Re: 1.8 Rockers, can you use them with stock springs?
When doing rockers, you are changing how far the spring is compressed etc. By doing so you increase the chances that something about the spring can change as well. I recommend new springs to all when changing something about the valve train. ZZP says you can do it and that you should be fine. However if you have a failure, they won't reimburse you etc. There have been failures, there have been successes.

I've heard upgrading rockers changes the sound of your exhaust true or false?
Re: 1.8 Rockers, can you use them with stock springs?
I never noticed the difference between stock manifolds and headers, then adding a cat, then different headers, then adding a cat.
Depends how sensitive you are to the sound.
Most likely placebo effect.

Re: 1.8 Rockers, can you use them with stock springs?
your engine will be breathing more with the rockers so there might be a small increase but hardly noticeable.
when you are up there in miles you should change the springs out for at the very least piece of mind. weather you upgrade them or not is up to you. im putting 1.8's in my base 06 but im not changing out the springs only because they only have 60k on them. if there was more miles on the motor then i would upgrade to the crow cam 105s.
Re: 1.8 Rockers, can you use them with stock springs?
My exhaust sounds deep and throaty now, could be caused by any of the changes I have made. CAI,HV3, ER Rockers. For comparison a stock G6 GXP sounds very quiet.
Re: 1.8 Rockers, can you use them with stock springs?
the 06 only has a plog on it now and i only notice and exhaust sound in the early morning. ill be putting the 1.8s in before the 3in DP so ill report back with a change in exhaust or not. cai will add some intake noise that could be sound like exhaust.
