I was wondering if anyone happened to have the serv. number of their pcm? ive got a 98 gtp and i purchased a "tuned" pcm off here a while back but when i put it in i couldnt run my fuel pump resistor anymore, so i think its for a gt with a tune on it so it will run with s/c. I would like to try and find a stock one and throw it in to see if i can run my pump resistor again, and for a couple other reasons. if anyone happened to have the numbers of their pcm for a gtp 98-02 i would appreciate greatly. thanks guys

Do you know who you bought it from? That might help figure out exactly what the pcm is for.

purchased it from DOHCZ34. everything else works great i love the firm shifts, and the fans coming on etc. but its running really rich and im thinking its because of the pump always running on high. ive swapped out all my old injectors with spares, new fuel rail with regulator just to see if it would help, but im running pig rich and am out of other ideas

I was going to send him a link to this thread, but it looks like he hasn't been on since October.

How do you know it's running rich and the pump is always on high? Wideband and a scanner?

Also, what made you decide not to run the resistor?

i can tell its running rich just by pulling the oil filler cap in the valve cover, smells like gas horribly. im changing my oil every 1500-2000 miles so it doesnt thin out to much until i can figure this out. And im assuming the pump is always on high because i cant run the resistor. When i hook it up the car dies just like it has a bad resistor in it( been replaced ~8 months ago) and runs fine when its unhooked.

First off... I have to run the equivilent of 3 fuel pumps on high speed to create a fuel pressure issue... so that "issue" of a stock fuel pump running on high is not causing any issues... I have calculated the stock regulator to give out around 750whp worth of fuel flow (race gas) so there is no way your single fuel pump is blowing out the regulator.

the act of running "really rich" is going to be purely mechanical... the PCM is not going to be able to create a condition of running really rich as it uses the o2 sensor to correct itself to running at 14.7:1.
