Got a P0341 code a few weeks ago. I replaced the cam sensor today, but I continue to get the code.

    Symptoms are:
-Rough idle (Rougher than the typical XP idle)
-Occasional popping on decel (low rpm)
    -Reduced MPG's
    -Random Cruise KR (1* Max)

I can clear the code and it immediately shows back up as pending.
Watching the scanner, I don't see anything amiss in my scanned parameters.

I did check the wiring the best I could while changing the sensor and didn't notice anything obviously wrong.

Anyone else have any similar issue with a solution?

**NOTE** I have been having the cruise KR problem for a little while (few months) before I had this code pop up. I did, however, have two coolant elbow blow-outs within 8 days of each other shortly before this code appeared. (Not really sure if that caused anything, but I'm trying to provide as much info as possible here.)

I think you might have to do a crack case relearn.

If you have access to a known good ICM, try it.

I tried a CASE learn. No luck.
It stands for a "Camshaft sensor circuit performance/range malfunction."
I do happen to have a spare ICM and set of coils. I will try that this weekend.

Tried my spare ICM and coils as well as a new ICM. Same problem.
I also probed the cam signal wire to and from the ICM and did not find a short-to-ground. I haven't unhooked the PCM to check continuity to it, yet.
I did some searching online and saw where a few Regal and Park Avenue owners had problems with a broken wire at their firewall connector - which we don't have - but I went ahead and tugged on each of the wires from the ICM where they terminate @ the PCM and found none broken there. The only other potential problem I can think of is if I have a bad spot in the wire between terminals, or if the CPS plug is FUBAR and I didn't realize it when installing the new CPS.

Is is possible for a timing chain to stretch enough to cause an inconsistent output and throw only this particular code? I do have about 50k on this stock timing chain with my XP and 105# springs.
