Problem is the mis doesn't exist today it comes and goes but I'll try switching coils and when it or if it comes back then I'll know I guess
Where in ohio are you located? It sounds like your getting a pretty bad misfire though.
if you turn ya ces light off it will be easier... hard tryin to pinpoint with old codes still coming up
I'm located in chardon Ohio I guess it's bad but no not really...I had a fire Taurus that ran on 3 cycl that was a bad miss cause by injector problems lol
My 97 has the same hesitation only when boost kicks in. Anyone find a possible solution?
Yes coil packs going on this coming weekend no boosting till then any suggestions for brand of coils and plugs and wires? I'm thinking about msd? Or boush?
Stock coils are best. Stock wires work fine. Get some autolite 605 plugs
x2 on the stock coils.. i always heard their best..
Ok cool stock coils it is
Changed out the coil packs still missing in the high rpm range.
ha i just dropped my gtp off at the dealership for the same problem, feather throttle just fine romp it haha as soon as it goes into boost sputters an acts crazy snap on scanner kept showing cylinder three and 4 misfire even after wires and plugs, moved coils and new icm im done she at the stealership lol
Sounds exactly like my car. Spits and spudders only when boosting. Let me know what they find out at the dealership.
yea no problem man will do, if you can get your hands on the right scanner you can pull the history codes or freeze frame codes. just fyi
Just went to get codes checked. Car will not read misfire because of aftermarket computer. At least that is what I was told. Just replaced fuel pressure regulator, problem still. It is really blowing my mind. Any other advice?? Coil packs plugs were already replaced. It has a zzp PCM 3.4 pulley cat delete u bend delete.
I pulled a wire off of the coil pack while it was running, scanner would not read the miss. I don't know why it wasnt. I was just told it was because of the aftermarket computer. The car always had copper core plugs I replaced them with iridiums. Several people told me copper cores had no value and iridiums are just as good. Could this be part of the problem??
where heres the weird thing, i have no mods bought the car from a friend and it has a smaller pulley, the pulley has been on there from the guy he bought it from and this problem just started, when i watched the live data on the scanner, it said something about like the knock sensor wasnt reading or something along those lines.as far as plugs personnely i try to keep what was in it from factory just how i was taught in the garage, delco for gm, motocraft for ford, and so forth, but everybody will have their opionions which is fine just my taste and experience. dealership didnt call yet but i will call them tomorrow.
