Thread: Injectors

Ok, so I'm pulling my injectors off the rails to replace the o-rings while doing my LIM, SCSI, TB, etc job... And as I'm getting the o-ring off one if the injectors, the little plastic ring on the end of the injector snaps and breaks.


So now, the question is, how important is the piece? Is it to just hold o-ring in place? Can it be ignored. Does anyone have a part#?

The piece isn't important. You won't have any issues from that.

My apologies for asking another question...

When putting everything back together today, I dropped and cannot find one of the Injector Clips into the engine bay.

It's the wire type clip that locks the wiring connector to the injector, not the flat metal clip that holds the injector to the rail.

I've looked all over the net and they're not listed anywhere. So, am I SOL, is it a big problem? I just worry that the connector could dislodge from the injector and that would be bad...

Thanks a million, and good news.

I used two tiny Ty-wraps to hold it together as a safety thing for now. I just had another shipment from them go out yesterday, guess I should've thought to ask but didn't so thanks
