i have a 97 Gtp with the following mods: 1.8 roller rocker, pushrods, 130lb. springs, mod retainers, ported sc, ported lim, slp headers, 2.5 in full exhaust, zzp 1.0 pcm, 42.5lb injectors, cia, nitrous express sniper efi wet kit, ported tb zzp now im ready to go to the next step cam i don't really plan on intercooling bc my over all goal is to go turbo or a better sc in general this car is my dd as well, im looking to see wat everyone else is running and see how they like it the heads are still stock with springs and modified retainers will no be modifying my heads until i have a head gasket problem no need to fix wat isn't broken.
I looked at the cam spec but id rather hear it from people who have it and like it. Intense stage 2, zzp xp, zzp nic are a few ive seen and like the sound of if this helps but im going for the most power...

No point in camming a supercharged setup to go turbo...

You also can't run your 1.8 with any of those cams you listed.

What? There are quite a few people who have used a XP cam then gone turbo only to keep the XP cam in there and still put down some pretty stout numbers/ET's.

Turbo cam is much better for a turbo setup.

XP and S1X are very close and IMO interchangable.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

while youre correct, the XP has shown good gains on turbo setups as well.

wow ok i know its wanting not wonting i was in a little rush sorry. i know the 1.8 rockets will not work with the cams on stock heads anyway the S1x cam you can run the rocker but you have to do your heads i know all of this and turbo is the way to go we have a turbo gp already, i was just wondering for the 1000 budget im trying to stay in what would be the best route to take cam or intercooling and if the cam will make more power which one do people like the most.

a cam and intercooler are going to give you similar gains, but a cam will be more noticeable.

Bill ran an S1X with 1.8's...

similar to an XP...or a VS for that matter...no one runs an S2X because they are lamesauce.

So, it can be done...just need valve guide clearance.

    lift doesnt do anything.

    duration does.

    but rockers change duration.
