I got a newer charger when i bought my 97 gtp bc the one on the car has some excess noise so i was looking at it before i changed it and the vacuum/ pressure port where the lines go to the bypass and fuel press reg. isnt there on the newer one i have. so my question is is there a way i can work around that without any negitive affects or is that newer charger no good for me.

Use a few tee fittings and piggy-back off the line coming out of the end of the intake manifold under the blower snout.

I also heard that i could use 5/30 or 10/30 syn oil instead of the regular charger fluid. what do you guys think of this?

Oh there is a billion page thread where Zef66 and I went back and forth on it...search for it...

It's up to you, motor oil takes more maintenence but is way cheaper...does the same thing for the most part.

Send a pm to TLSheff... he found a tech bulletin at the dealer that said Mobil 1 full syn, I think 5-30 was a suitable oil.

    they say mobil 1 5w30 but i'd use 0W20.

rotor pack bearings are touchy in the sense that the seals cannot be replaced without modifying the rotor pack housing dealio.

The seals are held in by an aluminum lip.

Grind that out, then you need to modify it to keep the new ones in place.

Might want to ask ZZP how much they want for a new rotor pack.

With the supercharger gasket i got, theres are 2 o-rings with it. Ive seen on here that they are coolant o rings but where would they go? the gasket has the rubber rings around it so i dont see where i would need it. anyone know where they go?

have you taken the blower off yet?

    They sit in the LIM.

There are two recessed locations for them.
