I've been bugging Matt about this and he's been a big help but I figure I'd post this too.

I have a WBS IC and realized that the only place the air from the BBV has to go is the tiny gap from the SC gasket. I haven't removed my H bar. Will this have much effect on daily driving?

I have had an odd RPM issue since the IC install but it only happens when I'm not in boost. In boost no issues. Could the H bar still being there cause any issues?

Hey David, I'm pretty sure the intercooler core goes about halfway into the boost bypass circle so you should be ok. However, if you have the blower off, snap a pic for us.

yeah from the mark where you see the whole from the BBV opening it is like 98% covered!. my idea would be to cut the Gen V and noch out that area so the air flows toward the IC core. unless there is space in the two haves of the IC to install a piece of tubing... but to me that sounds like it could cause a leak where boost may slip past the core... or worst yet the pipe break loose and fall into the engine. noching the blower is the safest bet i think

You could drill a hole like they have now. The picture on there website is one like you have but they ship with the milled 1/2 hole.

    From WBS website

Is it safe to just drill a hole in the core? I'd be scared of it cracking or the like.

Crazy guy, what is all that liquid looking stuff all over your gaskets?

And from talking to Matt earlier, wouldn't grinding down the H bar do the same thing as drilling a hole in the core?

You will have to grind by the butterfly valve, that is where the opening is the smallest. The H bar is above Intercooler opening and isn't the problem for BBV. Removing H bar will help air flow through Intercooler.

That's oil seepage from the pcv. The rest is just cleaning fluid.

Garlocs seem to wick oil rather than block it

Also I didn't take my H bar out cause IMO the air blows down not sideways

    RTV only.

right stuff is better, so if you can afford it.

Okay. The only thing that scares me about RTV is I feel like I'm going to forget to put it somewhere. So it goes around IC hole, BBV, PCV, EGR. Anywhere I'm missing?

    holes.

Granted your bead is properly sized, the only downside is you're wasting a product which goes bad from sitting once opened and it makes gasket prep more time consuming in the future.

    Do bolt hole count? Lol.

Doesn't RTV stay good as long as you recap the tube?

Cap doesnt seal 100%, dries out around the cap.

If you get a tube, it will break sooner or later.

Seems like I always break them before they're all used up.
