Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
lol this is getting good
pics of the rear of the car will tell us if it is a gt or not
the gt should be right by the edge of the trunk lid
if there is room for an extra letter it's a gtp
Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
i'd rather rely on a vin # than i had some picture of a badge that's already been tampered with.

Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
yeah vin is solid information either previous owner which was a cop changed it or it was a factory mistake or worse it was rear ended and the trunk lid got changed which im hoping not

that would honestly suck... but i have checked the frame and rear hubs and impact pad and all of it looks in good condition it doesnt look new so thats a good sign. so on the autometer gauge what would be the easiest splicing method where i could dim it
Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
well the trunk lid should have a vin sticker on it
Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
vin on trunk matches vin to car and the emblem is placed far over to the right where a p wouldnt fit just saying i dont really care what u guys think bc none of you have helped onto telling me or showing me a wiring diagram that would help in the process of wiring up a gauge that would work with the dimmer switch

All he asked was for help with a gauge.... Not sure why you guys have to get all anal about the trim when it is pretty clear he does not care. Care to help with the gauge install instead of being total douchbags to him?

Thank you. i mean its a grand prix not a collector or a special exotic car and its definately not my corvette its cool but not like its exclusive
Re: 2004 grand prix gt installing a boost gauge what do you have?
Your 7th digit in the VIN is a 4. That is the engine code that means L32 which was only in the GTP. If it was a top-swapped GT it would show a 2.
There is little difference b/w the GT and the GTP, you could de-option the GTP also.
The PO may have changed the badge to avoid the unwanted attention a supercharged car gets.
Here is a link that shows how to install a boost gauge.

I like how your first car was a corvette, and you went to a grand prix. Does mommy and daddy buy you cars?
