    Will stock injectors be enough for an s1x, gen v with a 3.4 on stock heads or should I get 42.5 injectors?

    honestly you might be okay on stock injectors if you arent trying to quelch knock with fuel.

    Yeah stock injectors should be ok, but you know you wont be done modding so go 42.5 or 60s.

    04 comp G, front/rear towerbraces, pacesetters, ported sc, LIM, 3.3 pulley, 1.9 mod rockers, Ls1 springs and retainers, custom dyno tune, 180 tstat, shortned dog bones, full poly mounts, zzp shift kit, custom fwi, 28inch cherry bomb, flowmaster 40's. 290whp 380wtq before the button. coldfusion n2o, 60 shot. I haz corvette brakezand gxp cluster! smgpfc028

    Chris..Rule of thumb is that stockers are good on a Gen V until you hit 3.2" pulley size. That's where they typically start to run out of room.

    When I initially modded to an S1X/Gen V/N*/3.4" I stayed with stockers to keep costs down.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Bill.. Aside from keeping costs down, would it be beneficial to run the 42's? Or would it be too much fuel? Looking to set myself up for future mods beyond the cam and gen v.

    Future setup, go 42.5's.

    Here's part of the thing. The larger the injector the less atomization of fuel happens. the spray on stockers is say a fine mist aka most ideal. The spray on something like a 60lb injector is more like a garden hose.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I ran out at 3.3....but I agree with these guys on staying stock as long as possible to save money

    Delphi 42.5's are pretty ****ball.

    They haven't been characterized thus making tuning fun.

    They're disc style, which isn't as good as pintle.

    But they're cheap. Thats good right?

    Get greentops or look for ones that have been characterized already.

    Also invest in rewiring your fuel pump.

    When your IPW reaches 16.5+ you should consider upgrading.
