I know everyone recommends using the LQ4 maf, but i see on 3800perfomance.com, they use a maf off the LS6 corvette. I know those would be harder (more expensive if new) to find. But i was wondering why isn't the MAF used off the cadillac that the TB is taken off of? Like if i were to go to the yard and pull a N* TB, why doesn't anyone use that MAF? I tried searching it, but didnt find any answers. Thanx in advance

Ok, i did some research and according ZZP the LQ4 is popular because as they quote "
The LQ4 maf is cheap, and easy to replace if you ever need a replacement. It cross references to many different applications.
". i looked on autozone's website, and the 00-05 northstar engines use the same MAF part number as the 99-2000 6.0 engine chevy trucks. sooo, i'm guessing i can use the MAF from the caddy then

LS6 and LQ4 maf are the same aftermarket part number.

    yer minute is up.

If you are N*'ing.. turn the vacuum port to the back (I use a say 13mm socket on a rachet as a lever) and then hose it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

just to be clear, when N*ing, i connect the MAF hose to the adapter bracket's fitting, and the PCV hose to the fitting on the TB?
