    I have a 1997 GT car

I have put a 1999 GTP 3800sc with trans into it

I have the 1999 complete harness and cpu

All is good so far, but...

    1. Do I need to use anything in this Electronic Brake Tracion Control Module connector?

    2. Does anyone have the pinouts for the c101, c103 connectors on the 97 car, and or the pinouts for the 99-02 EBTCM connector

    3. There is another trans connector aswell, not sure what that goes to, either, pinouts for that would be great too

What will happen if I just don't hook that connector to anything?

don 't worry I have searched my butt off trying to find anything up my alley on this...

    Sounds like you are close.

You can probably remove the abs stuff... it probably wont work without a crazy amount of rewiring.... other than that, the fuseboxes are usually pretty dang close, and you cant really screw much up there if you do a side by side comparison... its just 12volts going to everything in the harness.

the other main body connectors should be the same, as I do not believe they ever changed.

Is there any problem with using the 97 pcm and harness? With the 99 you'll need your VIN programmed into the PCM so it plays friendly with the BCM and the rest of the car.

The 97 gt 3800 harness used a 4t60 with vacuum mod... And I only really need to move 10-12 wires, I believe

I have hptuners so programming is garenteed

Thank you very much for the replies

That link was a nice read, but he did, what I don't want to do... and used a 97 harness and computer. I guess i will look and try and find one, cheap but i dought it.....

I want to repin... or wait a sec... make my own 97 harness out of my 97GT harness and the 99GTP harnesses.... ebcm pinouts for is the 99 would be great....

all have to do is send the right 98-02 ebcm signals to the right pin on the 97 pigtails, not hard at all if i had the pinouts for the 98-02 ebcm connectors

Okay ive been through this exacly wen i had my 2000 gt and put a 97 engine gtp in it. Let just say its gonna bee oneeeee big head ache . First off ur better off to swap the whole indash harnesses and engine bay harneses and that includes the abs modual that goes with the proper harness. And as for the cab/rear harness you will have to reground your fuel pump gauge a different way because 97 harnesses are compatible wats so ever with the 98-03. It took me a week roughly to do all this and u also would have to swap the air bags to keep them with the proper harneses.. Let me know how u do if anyquestions just pm me

    I can't agree at all. ^^

Still not sure why you are asking for ecbm stuff. That'll be 97 stuff on the 97 car with a 97 harness.

You can easily convert the 4t60 plug to a 4t65. I posted the info on Bonnevillepro.com, but can't see that forum at the moment. (Kinda funny when you own the forum..lol) It's move 7 wires and add 5 pins to the pcm connector.

At that point..you'd basically be able to run the engine w/o the boost control stuff, which isn't needed. Oh..and change the map sensor plug.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Bill does the ve table, for my 97 na computer, have capabilities suited for above 100kp or should I get a boosted 97 pcm, your right there are less repinning....

I have started looking for a harness and pcm

Ok so everyone in the GP universe, does not believe that a 99 engine harness and computer cant be adapted to run the 97s steering assist, abs, warning lights and tach

Mainjet thanks for the pinouts, I and going to look deeply to see if I can adapt this mess

The 99 could run all that stuff...because most fo taht stuff isn't controlled by the pcm. I could ... in probably 1 hour have it figured out and done.

but since your car is a 97..use that original harness. Change the programming on the pcm and be all set with changing the connector on the maf.

BillBoost.... I have never tried to swap parts of a .bin with hptuners, I have found a file on hpt's site from a 97 gtp, do I change the vin on that file to use on my gt pcm or something... what did you do? or what should I do?
