Ok, not too long ago we replaced the heads on my 2000 GTP....before we replaced them, it was missing on 3 and 5, after replacing them it was still missing on 3. I was out the other day and was leaving a toll booth, the speed limit was 65, so I got up to 70..not doggin it, just nice normal acceleration, decided I was gonna get up to 80 and set my cruise...once I hit about 75ish..it was kind of like the car choked out..did that a couple of times, then white smoke(steam, whatever) started pouring out of the exhaust...pulled it over, the car shut off and the smoke was under the hood as well. massive blow by..the oil dipstick even gets shot up and smoke/steam funnels around it..what does it sound like to you guys?

Why did you replace the heads?

What was the compression like before and after?

    Leakdown test?

we replaced the heads because I had a crack on the head at cylinder 3. cylinder 3 was getting no compression before, didn't do one after. I have no idea what a leakdown test is

You blew a head gasket. You don't have to have water in your oil to be a symptom. Water can go direcly down the exhaust valve if the gasket is blown in the right place.

Did you replace the headbolts when you replaced the heads? Did you properly torque the headbolts?

could it be a problem with the block being warped or cracked? The reason the head was cracked is because it overheated due to a clogged cat while the previous owner had it. I was told there was "no way it could be a problem with the block" by the person who did the head job.

The block should have still been checked for warpage.

It could be, but all avenues need to be checked to make sure it doesn't happen again. There are times where head gaskets blow for no reason. Saw it happen on a 72 Dart.

    Have you done any checks?

Checked the cooolant for exhaust bubbles?
Checked the pcv? If you blew out the dipstick then you have pressure in the crankcase. A head gasket can let water into the cylinders etc, but that doesn't necessarily put pressure in teh crankcase. A pcv relieves crankcase pressure.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
