I just bought a stock 2000 Bonneville SSEi. Pretty nice car for the price. I was considering the 3.4" pulley to start pushing some more power, BUT is this ideal for my first upgrade? The car has 167k miles on it, maybe headers first..?
Any advice on where I should start?
Thanks guys. oh, and my girlfriend has a 2006 grand prix gt with the same supercharged motor, but I guess her factory/stock car makes 20hp more than my car.. so I kind of want to do the same upgrades to hers as I would do to mine.

yes, I got a 1998 C5 targa top. has 2002 chrome wheels and is nassau blue with white stripes. I put a chip and a K&N on it, otherwise it is stock.
I also have a 2001 H-D Road King custom everything!! Pics here.

Not a lot of pics, just one day when my dad and I were hanging out.. I bought my bike 5+ years ago and bought my v5 2+ years ago. Got them both paid off and I am still paying on the SSEi, I just bought it a weeks ago. My gf and I just had a baby boy 8-28-11, so I needed the 4 door car. Thankfully, I didn't need to sell my toys.

    >> I have one issue with the SSEI right now though.. The instrument cluster doesn't light up at night. I bought a new dimmer switch, that wasn't the problem. The dimmer worked fine. I checked fuses, which I had a couple burnt out, but my cluster still doesn't light up. so, now im thinking the bulbs in the cluster are probably burned out. So, now what..?? any other things I could check before buying a new cluster? and if I do buy a cluster, won't my car recognize that it isn't the original one and my car will run bad??

HI as the Resident Bonneville Guy,

first the cluster uses Very small Surface mounted HALOGEN bulbs, they are not LEDS or a standard 194

second every thing you can do to a GP you can do to a Bonneville (engine wise)

also a good Bonneville Specific forum BonnevillePRO.com Index page

When I turn the headlights on, this is all that lights up. I have checked fuses under the hood and under the back seat. I can't seem to figure it out. The only thing is that the heated leather seat button light comes on when I press it, but they turn off right away. I don't get it, but maybe the two are connected or I just have 2 separate issues.
