    Well yeah.

    Because the Supercharged 3800 in '04+ cars is the L32
    The N/A 3800 in '04+ cars is the L26...differences?

    Compression ratio is higher in the N/A car (8.5:1 vs. 9.4:1) and the rods in the L26's are tiny compared to the L36/32/67 engines.

    04 L32 is only an L32 on top, bottom is still L67
    05+ is all the same except pistons on L32 are forged and L26 are not and the difference in compression.

    L26 = 9.4:1 Compression
    L32 = 8.5:1 Compression

    L26 rods are smaller than L32 rods...so sit a set next to each other. Oil pan is different...L26 heads and L32 heads flow better and have slightly larger valves as well.

    none of the motors got forged rods. they are powdered rods in L32/L26.
